Why the cost of Education should be reduced?

University nowadays costs too much for ordinary people. It used to be free in the UK about 20 years ago, then they started charging a £1000 fee per year for students. Now that same fee has risen to £9000 and above to study at most universities. They could have bought half a house for that much 30 years ago.

I’m not sure why the costs have risen so much, the expenses for running a university are probably the reasons. I still don’t get it, since computers cost so much more then, and the software costs were a lot higher with certain companies monopolising…
